The contest is from October 1st - October 31st 2009

Participation is open to all artists, young and old. Junk your pumpkin any way you want. The process is easy! Find a pumpkin (any size), gather some junk (found objects) and start junkin'! It can have a theme, be a character or just a piece of abstract art. Your choice*, but nothing too gruesome, gory. Think "merry not scary." Here's an example and here are entries from past years: 2007 | 2008.

*We retain the right to censor our content so no nudity, vulgarity, language, etc. (anything that you wouldn't want your child exposed to will not be allowed).

There are two age groups to enter under: "Big Kids" 13 years of age and up and "Little Kids" ages 0-13 years. After October 31st, our judges will choose the winners and be notified via email. Winners will be announced November 6, 2009.

Prizes:

One "Big Kid" Grand Prize Winner will receive an original Junk A Doodles® piece by Illustrator, Holli Conger
One "Big Kid" Runner-Up will receive a signed Junk A Doodles® print by Illustrator, Holli Conger.

Two "Little Kid" Grand Prize Wilnners will receive a signed Junk A Doodles® print by Illustrator, Holli Conger.

I've gotten some requests so I've decided to do the prizes like I did last year. I will make a custom Junk A Doodles® piece for one "Big Kid" Grand Prize Winner and "Big & Litte Kid" Runner-Up's can choose which piece in my portfolio they would like a print of.

Submitting your pumpkins:

Image files must be 72 dpi JPG and at least 600 pixels wide x 800 pixels high (if you don't know how to do that, just send me the original image and I can size it down for you)
Please name your image: your_name.jpg

Then email* your pumpkin image and website link to holli@pumpkinjunkin.com

*For entrants under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must submit your pumpkin via email (that way we have their permission to use your name and link to your website if you have one).
